Lanaco is an Auckland based technology leader redefining air filtration. Lanaco produces EcoStatic®, a patent pending, wool based triboelectric filter media that outperforms traditional synthetics in efficiency, energy savings, and sustainability.
Key Performance Advantages
• Low Resistance: Offers 2-3x lower pressure drop than similar tribo media and 3-10x lower pressure drop than equivalent meltblown, glass nanofiber media. This allows for smaller, quieter, and more energy efficient systems.
• NASA Proven: Selected for the Artemis Orion spacecraft for moon missions, for the contingency breathing apparatus. EcoStatic® extended critical cartridge life from 10 to 120 minutes.
• Humid Performance: The triboelectric charge is a material property. Unlike synthetic electrets, it remains stable in high humidity.
• Multifunctional: Naturally self extinguishing (passes FMVSS 302) and superhydrophobic (155 degree contact angle).
• VOC Neutralisation: Wool keratin proteins chemically bond with and neutralise pollutants like formaldehyde and ammonia.
