14 June 2023
We are delighted to share our experience of attending the ITMA 2023, the world’s leading textile and garment technology exhibition, held in Milan, Italy from 8-14 June 2023

It was a great opportunity for us to learn about the latest innovations and trends in textile and garment technology, and to network with industry experts, potential partners and customers from around the world.

Meeting Marco Shaefer and Laura Caccia from NZTE
One of the highlights of our trip was meeting up with Marco Shaefer and Laura Caccia from New Zealand Trade and Enterprise (NZTE), who are based in Germany and Italy respectively. They were very supportive and helpful in introducing us to key contacts in the European market and facilitating business meetings with potential buyers and distributors.

Marco and Laura also shared their insights and advice on how to enter and succeed in the European market, which is one of the largest and most competitive markets for textile and garment products. They also helped us to promote our natural-fibre based air filter media, EcoStatic®, which is made from specially selected New Zealand wool. EcoStatic® is a low resistance, high performance and biodegradable-capable filter media that can be used in various applications such as HVAC, appliances, automotive, electronics, industrial particulate filtration and respiratory masks.

We were impressed by the interest and feedback we received from the contacts, who were curious about the natural properties of wool and how it can be engineered to create a superior filter media that is sustainable, breathable and effective.

Exploring the latest innovations and trends in textile and garment technology
Another highlight of our trip was exploring the exhibition halls, where we saw the latest innovations and trends in textile and garment technology. We were amazed by the diversity and creativity of the products and solutions on display, ranging from smart fabrics, digital printing, nanotechnology, robotics, artificial intelligence, circular economy and more.

We also attended some of the events and seminars organized by ITMA, where we learned from industry experts about the challenges and opportunities facing the textile and garment sector in the post-pandemic era. We gained valuable insights into how to adapt to changing consumer demands, environmental regulations, social responsibility and digital transformation.

Looking forward to future collaborations and opportunities
We are grateful for the opportunity to participate in ITMA 2023, which was a rewarding and enriching experience for us. We would like to thank NZTE for their support and guidance, as well as all the contacts who expressed interest in our products. We are looking forward to following up with them and exploring future collaborations and opportunities.

We are also proud to be part of the New Zealand textile and garment industry, which is known for its innovation, quality and sustainability. We believe that our EcoStatic® filter media can contribute to this reputation by offering a natural, renewable and biodegradable-capable solution that can protect people’s health and well-being in various environments.

We hope to see you again at ITMA 2027!
