How Lanaco impressed the world with its wool-based air filtration media at Techtextil 2022

Lanaco, a New Zealand-based company that specializes in high-performance wool-based air filtration media, attended Techtextil 2022, the leading international trade fair for technical textiles and nonwovens, held in Frankfurt from 21 to 24 June 2022.

Techtextil is a biennial event that attracts industry experts from all over the world to showcase the latest innovations and trends in technical textiles, nonwovens, functional apparel textiles and textile technologies. The trade fair covers a wide range of application areas, such as sport, agriculture, building, clothing, geotechnical, home, industrial, medical, mobility and environmental protection.

Lanaco displayed its unique wool-based air filtration media, which is made from specially selected and processed New Zealand wool. Lanaco’s media has superior performance, sustainability and versatility compared to synthetic alternatives. Lanaco’s media can be used for various applications, such as face masks, HVAC systems, industrial filters, automotive filters and medical devices.

Lanaco also highlighted its new product development capabilities and its collaboration with leading research institutes and industry partners. Lanaco has been involved in several projects to develop innovative solutions for air filtration challenges, such as COVID-19 protection, wildfire smoke mitigation and indoor air quality improvement.
