Lanaco’s EcoStatic® Achieves USDA BioPreferred® Mandatory Federal Purchasing (FP) Status, From 25% to 100% Biobased
For federal government procurement partners and prime contractors, this certification is not optional. Under the USDA BioPreferred® Program, mandated by the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and listed on SAM.gov, federal agencies are required to prioritise certified biobased products where available. By choosing EcoStatic® certified media, agencies and contractors can meet both performance requirements and procurement compliance while supporting long-term sustainability goals. Lanaco supplies the filter media and works with conversion partners to deliver finished solutions for government facilities.
EcoStatic® filter media has been certified under the USDA BioPreferred® Program, with 12 products now qualified for Mandatory Federal Purchasing (FP). Our range spans from 25% biobased content through to 100% biobased, giving filter converters and brand owners practical options that balance sustainability and performance.
We are clear about our role. Lanaco does not make filters. Our focus is on developing and manufacturing biobased triboelectric, high-performance filter media, the first of its kind. We collaborate with filter makers, converters, and consumer brands who integrate EcoStatic® into their products and deliver the finished solutions to facilities and households.
