Texus Fibre to showcase its natural dust filtration technology at the Shenzhen High-Tech Fair

Texus Fibre, a New Zealand company that produces innovative wool-based textiles for industrial applications, exhibited its products at the China High-Tech Fair in Shenzhen in November.

The company is part of a New Zealand Trade and Enterprise delegation that includes some of the country’s leading technology companies, such as Fisher & Paykel Healthcare, Gallagher Group and Orion Health. The Minister of Economic Development, the Hon. Steven Joyce, also joined the delegation at the fair, which ran from 16 – 21 November 2013.

Texus Fibre’s director Nick Davenport says the company’s Helix wool-based dust filtration technology was a highlight at the event.

“China and other Asian countries are facing a serious challenge from the rising levels and toxicity of dust in the air. The World Health Organisation has recently declared outdoor air pollution as a human carcinogen.

“Texus products offer natural solutions to this problem. Our EcoStatic® Helix™ filter is made from natural wool fibre that captures dust particles effectively and has low breathing resistance. It is also safe and eco-friendly, as it does not create any airborne pollution during its life cycle.”
