Texus Fibre receives Health & Science Commendation at NZ Innovators Awards
Texus Fibre, a company that produces innovative natural fibre products, received a prestigious recognition at the 2013 New Zealand Innovators Awards. The company was highly commended in the health and science category, which was one of the most competitive and challenging categories in the Awards.
The New Zealand Innovators Awards aim to celebrate and honour the outstanding innovations, inventors and organisations that have developed new products, services and ventures in various fields. The Awards also acknowledge the efforts of those who have improved the performance of their people and teams through innovation. The Awards programme is supported by Bayer New Zealand, Idealog, Ideas Accelerator and the New Zealand Innovation Council.
Texus Fibre was chosen as a finalist in two award categories in 2013—Innovation in Health and Science and Innovation in Sustainability and Clean-tech. The company’s natural fibre products have applications in health care, personal care, industrial and environmental sectors.
Texus Fibre is thrilled to have received the Highly Commended award in the Health and Science category, which is a testament to the company’s excellence and innovation in this field. In the same category was Pacific Edge Limited, who won the Supreme Award for its breakthrough Cxbladder cancer diagnostic product.
