Wool at Fieldays, on national TV, and on the path to new industry growth
Lanaco was proud to be at Fieldays, standing alongside fellow innovators using wool in bold and unexpected ways. A big thank you to our fellow exhibitors (T&R, WiseWool, Woolchemy, Wool Source, Keraplast) and to Wool Impact for bringing together such a strong showcase of local ingenuity for the global market.

We extend our gratitude to Wool Impact, the Ministry for Primary Industries, and the people of New Zealand for supporting an industry that helped build this country. Wool is no longer just about the past, it is now a critical component for sustainable, high-performance materials across multiple sectors.
From government buildings choosing wool carpet, to the growing opportunity in insulation, acoustic panels, and residential HVAC, wool is being redefined as a modern, high-performance material. Leading architecture and design firms like Gensler are setting global benchmarks through initiatives like the Gensler Product Sustainability (GPS) Standards, which highlight the importance of natural and sustainable materials in creating healthier, lower-impact environments.
But there is more to do. We believe it is time for New Zealand and the global market to go further for wool to be recognised and prioritised in public procurement, building codes, and sustainability frameworks. We will continue to advocate for wool to play a central role in clean, circular, and high-performance building systems worldwide.

• Wearable filtration, like Activemask
• New Zealand homes, with DVS (a Volution Group PLC company)
